The vagabond

The travel bug has bitten again and warm seas and distant beaches seem to be drawing me in. When you make the metamorphosis from the beautifully clad "tourist" to a casual "vagabond"; you become a free spirit. A vagabond is someone who will travel to learn and experience cultures everywhere. They will work to travel, and will help people to better themelves.

Traveling can be done by anyone today. Buy an airline ticket, pay for a hotel and a rental car, and a "vacation" is assured. Most people say they need a vacation after their vacation to recover from the madness. When you become a vagabond, time slows down and priorities are established. Do you really need to fly on a certain day, or can you fly when tickets are cheaper? Do you have to fly non-stop, or will two stops save you $200? Is your destination a place that you can walk from the airport to your first stay, or would be be best to buy a bike or rent a car?

All travel takes a little planning and LUCK, because everything in the world doesn't really run by the clock. You might have to wait a week to get a supply boat to an outer island, so can you work washing dishes for a week and get a place to hang a hammock? The possibilities are endless and believe it or not, you can do it. It doesn't take much to ask a question and the worst thing that can happen is you will not get the answer you want. I will be traveling soon (not by motorcycle this time) and the vagabond in me will temper the way I do it. Life is good!
